The Blue and Yellow groups took advantage of this beautiful spring weather and headed to the National Zoo. Down, down Harvard hill we marched - that was the easy part! We caught a glimpse of the mother gorilla and her name baby girl, saw the hippo submerged, and managed to see the elephants rolling logs and showing off their balance. We enjoyed our picnic lunch and then crawled through the prarie dog tubs, which was a big hit. We slowly began our journey back up, up Harvard hill. We jumped on a Metro bus and rode back to ALG. A good time was had by all!
