Hey All- Circle time was full of singing and general merriment. We had a couple of announcements ALG is adding to their science area. Tomorrow Pickett and a handful of ALGer's have been given the important task of choosing our chicks. Soon the count down to D-day will begin. Already we are observing the life cycle of the caterpillar - it's getting fatter by the day.

The Yellow and Red groups were paired together today. A lot of laughter, a few shrieks ( the water was cold at first but soooo refreshing) and a whole lot of fun in the sun. We ended our outside time after spending a considerable amount of time playing in the big yard.

We played a tireless game of freeze tag (thanks, Rita), listened to Jose's big booming voice deliver vivid and emotionally gripping stories and well, i waxed poetic about all things slimy and grimmy ( i even touched and held a worm)

Post Family Fun Day Monday

The unseasonably warm day had a very bright and splashy upside. We re-inflated and filled the pool used for the fishing game. All groups took turns luxuriating in the courtyard waterpark (wading in the pool, filling buckets with water, getting sprayed at the water mist station). The outside yard sandbox was in use all day. Running around was still popular, as was the drinking water station that was set up out there. I think we spent much more time outside than in. Mandatory "sun breaks" were spent primarily in the big room, with the usual drawing, eating, book-reading, and general play.

Co-op ers Bill Green (Clayton's dad), Jennifer Lehmann-Weng (Oliver's mom), and Lilly (Clayton's grandmother).

Wow, what a very busy day we had today! First, we had a chance to get our hands into a huge brick of clay. We grabbed hunks of the clay off the brick and explored the smooth and pliable, yet firm substance. Next, Yoga Jenny was here. We yoga'd to every color in the rainbow. After that good stretch, we took long walks around the neighborhood. The Purple and Yellow groups stopped by Evan's house and checked out all the beautiful blooms in his yard. We also got a chance to meet Evan and Maia's mailman, Mr Wall. Back at the courtyard, we had plenty of time to eat, ride bikes, run and relax. The Blue and Red groups developed and played out an elaborate scenario of "Little Orphan Annie".

It's 1 PM now, and I know this co-oper is ready for a nap.

Wednesday, 4/1

Good afternoon, everyone. Today all four groups spent the morning together. We had very important, not to mention fun ALG bonding time. We took full advantage of our wonderful side yard. We used our muscles to weed our garden, which is blooming gloriously from the daffodil, crocus and tulip bulbs we planted in the fall. We played under and listened to a story under the beautiful crab apple tree. We used our creative play skills to act out pretend school and monsters in the "woods". Some of us threw together a game of Duck, Duck Goose.

Inside, we painted, ate, built with blocks, made airplanes`with legos and had good, old-fashioned cuddle time on the couch.
