Today we celebrated two birthdays at ALG. Pace turned 3 today and Faye (former camper and big sister of Lila) turned 6. Cara had many helpers to make biscuits which were served plain or with blueberry jelly.
At circle time they talked about this being the last week of school, and thus the last week of the "bakery" set up. The new session will bring a new set up and theme. It was not announced what that was as it is going to be a surprise, but a teacher did mention that the theme MIGHT rhyme with "marbage" and "mash".
Tiffany came to play music with all the children which included some of her classics as well as seasonal holiday songs. The children continued with the music outside as many kids took turns using percussive instruments and dancing around with the music on the radio. This included a conga line which weaved around the bikers, ice cream sellers in the house, and a batch of nurses who were taking care of each other on the stairs above all the chaos.
Inside there were people playing with marble blocks, "baking", building ramps and see saws with blocks, painting, a large group puzzle and of course legos. A good time was had by all.
