This morning there was some really beautiful singing during circle time, and then one group started playing with blocks and Deborah had two people at a time paint with her at the blue table. We explored color mixing and layering - we hung each person's painting up to dry so we can take them home later. Another group had fun playing with blocks and there was also a structure built along the top of a table complete with colored signage (or as this Co-Op'er was told!). Then Yoga Jenny arrived and the groups took turns at the yoga class - we were polar bears and seals and ice skaters. During the yoga rest time, we listened to our breath and let our hearts beat more slowly. It was fun. Then we had a snack and took turns playing with Natasha and her noodles in the back room (since it was too cold to go outside). When we were having our lunch we had a little party for Alice's birthday. Alice's Mom made popcorn for the kids and we sang Happy Birthday. Then we did some cleanup and dancing - some of us did twirling around and around eight times! Then Jose told us a great story, followed by some songs led by Deborah. What a great day at ALG!
