Tuesday

We played with Oran and Pickett for most of the morning. In the first group (purple and blue) there were families of tigers and wolves, and a group of nice monsters who also did magic. Oran was a monkey who was continually being eaten by the tigers and wolves. Pickett ran the train to the North and South Poles, and also doled out french fries with ketchup and "wolf sauce". In the second group (red and yellow) there were jungle animals taking frequent car trips to the store for food, and monkeys who preferred to swing on the monkey bar. There were also some ghost and bat trick or treaters and monsters chasing them. The weather was relatively nice, so after lunch we went to the courtyard and had a dance party to Natasha's CD selections (Jack Johnson! Queen!). There were tambourines and wooden noise makers for those who felt like joining in. Others raced around on tricycles or handed out make-believe ice cream cones. Several of us had a rousing game of "where are your feet?... are they on the moon?... are they taking a nap?... oh, there they are!" We also bought ice cream at the ice cream stand (a.k.a. the house). Then it was back inside for clean-up and story time. Another great day at school.
