Group play with Pickett was the big hit for today. 3 different groups went for play in the back room. In the 3rd group (purple and yellows) everyone picked an animal to be, but Noah changed his mind and became a bat, nearly everyone became a bat. Cara acted as the in-house vetinarian, carefully taking care of a spider and spiderweb that Eli C. the bat had eaten accidentally. Pickett ordered lots of supplies including some very heavy food for the few lions who remained in the room. Meanwhile, Deborah led pairs of children in some painting and color mixing exercises and Natasha wowed the crowd with banana pancakes that were joyfully eaten at snack time.
Everyone went out in the courtyard around 11 for dancing and biking, accompanied by some musical selections from Natasha's radio. We all came back in then to warm up and enjoy a snack before a last round of fun time. It was a good day.
